Concept
This project displays a poster series for a fictional event displaying collections of poetry from poets: Russell Atkins, Kari Gunter-Seymour, and Yalie Saweda Kamara. This series aims to show the connection between each of their works, while also expressing their individual experiences through typography.

Method Process
This poster series utilizes free play by printing and layering words the poets repeat in their work before photographing and editing the text in Photoshop. By layering the text on top of each other, it creates an emphasis on those words, much like how the poets use repetition to emphasize those words to draw attention to aspects of their lives they had no control over.
