Overview
In the summer of 2022, I collaborated with Charlotte Frogget and Lexi Kulman at the Ringling College of Art and Design to create Unique Eats, a mock brand and app that helps parents filter restaurant menus for allergy and aversion-friendly meals. I chose to return to this project in 2025 to address the need for more inclusive dining experiences, inspired by my mom, Deborah Binkis, whose Type II diabetes and Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EoE) diagnoses made dining out increasingly challenging.

Research
My research involved analyzing a range of existing apps, from food delivery services to health and wellness platforms, while also exploring common aesthetics in food-related app design.
Apps: Fooducate, Lose it!, My Fitness Pal, Ihealth, GrubHub, Mysugr, Viome, Lifesum, Foody, Bowelle, Mealime

Wordmark

Through exploration, I chose to rename my App from "Unique Eats" to Savra, a play on the word savor. The new name reflects the app’s evolved purpose: helping users not just discover meals that meet their needs, but to truly savor food with confidence and intention.
